PT/Body Works
Our clinic is unlike other physical therapy centers. We believe the body has natural healing capabilities and just needs a little help to move you back in the right direction. Combining manual therapies with functional movements allows your body to "self-correct."
Our motto
"Move or Rot." Our bodies need movement to work the way they should. Let us help you get back on track and maintain your ability to move well in life, so pain and dysfunction doesn't limit what you can do.
Our approach
After we complete a physical evaluation of your body and determine its relationship to your pain, we develop an individualized plan treating your whole body, not just the painful areas. We can also develop a plan to address an immediate need.
Our services
We offer a variety of different treatments and often combine several to achieve the best outcome.
Manual Therapy is a hands-on therapy to put pressure on muscle tissue as well as manipulate joints to reduce pain.
Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle, hands-on approach that relieves compression in the bones of the head, sacrum, and spinal column, reducing pain and dysfunction.
Zero Balancing uses finger pressure and gentle traction on the bones & joints to allow the body to reorganize itself and let go of held tension and pain.
Muscle Energy Technique is a manual type of therapy in which the muscles' energy is used to lengthen, strengthen and improve the range of movement to promote relaxation and pain relief.
Positional Release/Strain Counterstrain is a gentle soft tissue manipulation technique to treat muscle and joint pain.
Functional Movement Retraining helps restore strength and proper functioning of the musculoskeletal system to make it easier for individuals to perform everyday activities.
Therapeutic Exercise is a specific solution to physical therapy designed to resolve a particular problem.
Neuromuscular Re-Education uses manual techniques and activities to re-develop regular movements such as walking or waving.
Endurance Training consists of various endurance and strengthening activities to improve one’s ability to perform daily activities.
Balance Training uses exercises that strengthen the muscles that help keep you upright.
How often do you need to come?
We will work with you and your budget to find the right balance of services that’s best for meeting your goals. We can help determine how often, but the final decision is up to you.
